Toblerone and Swarovski Create a Crystal Chocolate Bar for Charity Auction

Toblerone today announced "The Ultimate Gift," a collaboration with Swarovski to create hand-made crystal replicas of its iconic chocolate bar. The Toblerone Crystal Bar crafted by Swarovski will be auctioned at major airports worldwide and online from July 1 to July 31, 2026, with all proceeds donated to local charities.

The crystal bar is a precise replica of the original Toblerone chocolate bar, measuring 305mm in length and weighing 851g. Each bar features 546 individually cut facets and requires 140 hours of development and 65 hours of handcrafting. It will be individually numbered and certified. The auction will take place at airports in Athens, Delhi, Doha, Dubai, Frankfurt, Madrid, New York JFK, Singapore, and Zurich, with each auction supporting a charity chosen by the airport.

Iain Livingston, President of Toblerone & World Travel Retail, said: "Toblerone has always been more than a chocolate bar. It's a ritual, a symbol of travel, and one of the world's most recognised gifts. Creating the Toblerone Crystal Bar crafted by Swarovski feels like a natural expression of who we are: a brand that takes quality seriously but never takes itself too seriously."

For those unable to bid on the crystal bar, Toblerone is also launching a limited-edition Ultimate Gift Box adorned with Swarovski crystals, available exclusively in World Travel Retail. The box contains a standard Milk Toblerone bar. Bidding on the crystal bar is available online via the auction site, with more information on the charities here.

The collaboration highlights the shared values of Toblerone and Swarovski, both Alpine brands with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. Swarovski, founded in 1895 in Austria, is known for its high-quality crystals and finished products. The crystal bar was manufactured in Austria using high-precision cutting technology.

Toblerone was invented in 1908 by Theodor Tobler and Emil Baumann in Bern, Switzerland. Its triangular shape is one of the most recognized silhouettes in the world, and it has become a staple gift for travelers. The brand's "Never Square" philosophy celebrates non-conformity and the unexpected.
