Tradegate AG has announced its half-year report for 2026, revealing an exceptionally strong first half with revenue increasing by 15% to approximately EUR 281 billion, driven by a 31.7% rise in individual transactions to 47,497,913 trades.
The company, which operates as a market specialist on the Tradegate Berlin Stock Exchange (Tradegate BSX), saw the highest turnover increases of around 50% in January and June, while March and April experienced declines of 5.5% and 13.2% respectively. Despite these fluctuations, the overall growth was buoyed by periods of high market volatility, which allowed for better gross margins in securities trading.
As a result, profit from ordinary activities increased disproportionately to turnover, soaring by 63.7% to EUR 66.11 million. Net profit after tax also rose by 64.2% to EUR 46.087 million. The company highlighted that in the first six weeks of the second half of the year, moderate turnover growth of around 12% compared with the previous year has continued.
The half-yearly report is available on the company’s website at www.tradegate.ag.
Tradegate AG is a CRR credit institution based in Berlin, specializing in acting as a Market Specialist for over fourteen thousand types of securities, including shares, ETPs, and derivatives, on the Tradegate Berlin Stock Exchange, which focuses on the needs of private investors. The company also operates the tradegate.direct app, enabling private investors to trade directly and free of charge on the Tradegate BSX, and issues structured products while operating exclusive private banking under the Berliner Effektenbank brand.
The strong performance in the first half of 2026 underscores Tradegate AG's robust business model and its ability to capitalize on market conditions, positioning it well for continued growth in the second half of the year.
