Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. has completed its Phase One diamond drill program at the Coho Property in central British Columbia, a milestone that matters because the Coho Zone had never been drilled before. The seven-hole, 2,667-metre program tested an area of 1,000 by 800 metres to a vertical depth of 474 metres, targeting a copper-gold porphyry system located 30 km west of the Mt. Milligan Cu-Au porphyry deposit. For a junior explorer, the first drill test of a previously undrilled target is the critical step that can either validate or dismiss a geological thesis, and the results expected in late 2026 or early 2027 will shape the company’s next moves.
The program was guided by recently completed property-wide geochemical and geophysical surveys. An induced polarization survey of fourteen line-kilometres was conducted concurrently with drilling, and preliminary results were used to site hole CH-26-07 on a chargeability anomaly and interpreted structure 500 metres north of the King showing. Holes targeted coincident chargeability and resistivity highs, the Chinook showing with historic channel samples grading 0.08 g/t Au and 0.29% Cu over 11.4 m, and the King showing where historic channel sampling returned 0.68 g/t Au and 2.83% Cu over 1.0 m. A total of 1,415 core samples, including standard reference material and blanks, were submitted to Bureau Veritas’ lab in Vancouver. Investors can review the drill collar details for the 2026 program and the 2026 drill plan map at the Coho Property.
The importance extends beyond a single property. Trailbreaker is also awaiting assays from a six-hole, 1,684-metre program completed in early August at its Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern BC, where drilling targeted the Highlands high-grade vein-hosted gold zone and the Swan copper-gold-silver-molybdenum porphyry zone, spaced 26 km apart. As detailed in the August 10, 2026 news release, those results remain pending. President and CEO Daithi Mac Gearailt said the company is well positioned to provide a steady flow of news through the remainder of 2026 and early 2027, a cadence that could sustain market attention across two district-scale projects.
At Coho’s Masu Zone, a June surface exploration program targeted the possible eastward extension of the A Zone on the adjoining Trident Property, where Pacific Empire Minerals reported 240.0 m of 0.64% Cu, 0.41 g/t Au, and 2.8 g/t silver (Ag). That proximity provides a valuable analogue for what Trailbreaker is chasing. The company has also contracted Eagle Mapping for a property-wide LiDAR survey at Atsutla and Aurora Geosciences to complete an independent NI 43-101 technical report replacing a 2022 filing.
