tZERO to Power Temple Digital's Tokenized Securities Trading on Canton Network

tZERO Group, Inc. has been selected by Temple Digital Group to serve as the regulated broker-dealer and alternative trading system (ATS) operator for Temple's tokenized securities trading platform on the Canton Network, the companies announced. The agreement, reported via NEWMEDIAWIRE, marks a significant expansion of tZERO's Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) business and underscores the growing demand for regulated foundations in the tokenized asset market.

Under the arrangement, Temple Digital Group will pair its proprietary onchain trading technology with tZERO Securities' regulated operating infrastructure, including client onboarding and transaction services. This allows Temple to offer tokenized securities trading to its clients without the need to build its own broker-dealer and ATS capabilities from scratch. The move is important because it demonstrates how specialized technology providers and regulated entities can collaborate to bring tokenized securities to institutional clients more efficiently.

"Institutions building tokenized markets need a regulated operating foundation that can work with their technology and business model," said Alan Konevsky, Chief Executive Officer of tZERO. "Temple has developed one of the most powerful trading systems on Canton. By bringing our broker-dealer and ATS capabilities to that system, we can help Temple deliver its offering to clients while expanding the reach of tZERO's Infrastructure-as-a-Service footprint as we focus on powering broker-dealers and other financial institutions at scale."

Temple's trading system includes a proprietary matching engine, an RFQ module and a central limit order book for tokenized National Market System (NMS) securities and exchange-traded products. It also features a front-end user interface and settlement infrastructure designed to support atomic delivery-versus-payment and repurchase agreement settlement on Canton. Temple has executed over $1.6 billion in volume for Canton and is the largest platform by transaction volume on the network. This scale highlights the viability of onchain trading and the potential for further growth with regulated backing.

"We're focused on developing regulated, onchain trading technologies for tokenized assets," said Evan Varsamis, Chief Executive Officer of Temple Digital Group. "Working with tZERO allows us to combine our solutions with an established broker-dealer and ATS operator, providing the regulated infrastructure needed to support securities on our platform at scale."

tZERO Securities, an SEC-registered broker-dealer and member of FINRA and SIPC, will operate the dedicated platform. More information about tZERO Securities may be found on FINRA’s BrokerCheck. Implementation is pending; launch timing and product availability will be announced separately.

The partnership signals a broader trend of traditional financial infrastructure providers like tZERO Group, Inc. enabling blockchain-native platforms to access regulated markets. By leveraging tZERO's established broker-dealer and ATS capabilities, Temple can focus on its technology while ensuring compliance with securities regulations. This could accelerate the adoption of tokenized securities by reducing barriers to entry and fostering innovation in onchain trading. As institutional interest in tokenized assets grows, such collaborations may become essential for building trust and scalability in the digital asset ecosystem.
