Vast Coworking Group™ (Vast), the world's largest privately owned franchisor of coworking spaces, reported strong year-over-year performance in 2025 across systemwide sales, membership growth, franchise development, and international expansion. Its three brands – Venture X®, Office Evolution®, and Intelligent Office® – collectively cemented Vast as the second-largest flexible workspace network in North America and third-largest worldwide by location count.
The flexible office sector continues to attract investment as enterprises and entrepreneurs increasingly shift toward short-term, adaptable office solutions. Despite representing only an estimated 2% of U.S. office inventory, flexible workspace is one of the fastest-growing categories in commercial real estate and is becoming an essential component of modern office portfolios. Vast's 2025 performance reflects these trends: Venture X reported an 11% increase in annual revenue, Office Evolution a 13% increase, and Intelligent Office maintained a stable revenue base while refining its virtual office and professional services offerings for future expansion.
"We're now in the era of 'Coworking 4.0' with commercial real estate having a flex-first approach," said Jason Anderson, Co-Founder and CEO of Vast. "Fortune 500 companies, major enterprises, and even governments are turning to flex to accommodate hybrid and geographically distributed workforces without long-term leases. The performance of our brands underscores the strength of our portfolio and franchise model."
Membership growth was a defining metric: Venture X grew its global membership base by 67%, Office Evolution by 50%, and Intelligent Office surpassed 4,800 members across locations and virtual channels. Total global square footage exceeded 2.7 million square feet, with Venture X surpassing 1.49 million square feet, Office Evolution over 919,700 square feet, and Intelligent Office over 324,800 square feet.
Development activity accelerated in 2025. Venture X and Office Evolution opened 11 and 6 new locations, respectively, driven by franchise interest in suburban and secondary markets. Across all three brands, 13 new Venture X agreements, 16 Office Evolution agreements, and 11 Intelligent Office agreements were signed, with 34 locations already in the pipeline for 2026. International expansion also gained momentum: Office Evolution opened its first locations in Canada and South Africa and signed a master license agreement for the United Kingdom. Venture X expanded its presence in India and signed a master license for South Africa.
