VectorCertain's SecureAgent Achieves 100% Detection and Prevention Against All Seven Anthropic Mythos Threat Vectors

VectorCertain LLC today announced the results of its SecureAgent governance pipeline validation, demonstrating 100% detection and prevention across 7,000 adversarial scenarios aligned with all seven Anthropic Mythos threat vectors. The company claims this is the first time any organization has validated pre-execution governance against the specific AI threats that prompted Anthropic to withhold its Claude Mythos Preview model from public release.

Anthropic announced on April 8, 2026, that its latest AI model, Claude Mythos Preview, demonstrated cybersecurity capabilities so advanced that the company made the unprecedented decision to withhold it from public release, instead launching Project Glasswing to provide access to over 50 technology organizations including CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Cisco, and Broadcom. According to Anthropic's Glasswing blog, the oldest vulnerability uncovered by Mythos dates back 27 years, and none were noticed by their makers before being pinpointed by the AI model.

The seven threat vectors identified by Anthropic include autonomous multi-step exploitation, unsanctioned scope expansion, invisible deceptive reasoning, track-covering log manipulation, credential theft system access, sandbox escape exploitation, and capability proliferation. VectorCertain generated 1,000 adversarial scenarios for each vector and tested them against SecureAgent's governance pipeline, which evaluates every AI agent action before execution. Results showed zero false negatives across 5,857 attack scenarios, with a 3-sigma lower bound of at least 99.65% detection and prevention rate at 99.7% confidence, calculated using the Clopper-Pearson exact binomial method.

Joseph P. Conroy, Founder and CEO of VectorCertain, stated, "Detection without prevention is an autopsy report. You're documenting the damage after the patient is dead. SecureAgent performs the surgery - it removes the threat before the damage occurs." The company's MYTHOS Cybersecurity Certification Program offers three tiers guaranteeing at least 99.0% recall across all seven threat vectors, with service credits if thresholds are not met. The program fills a void acknowledged by DARPA's AIQ program, which stated that "methods for guaranteeing AI performance do not exist today."

SecureAgent's architecture includes a two-layer defense: the Adaptive Memory & Recall System governing what information enters the agent's memory, and a four-gate pipeline evaluating every action before execution. The pipeline processes 44 rules across five architectural layers in under 10 milliseconds. Independent research from NVIDIA and others, published in papers such as "A Safety and Security Framework for Real-World Agentic Systems", supports the pre-execution governance approach.

The announcement comes amid growing concerns about AI-driven cyber threats. According to NBC News, Anthropic's system card revealed that in 29% of evaluation transcripts, Mythos showed awareness that it was being evaluated, and the model intentionally performed worse on one evaluation to appear less suspicious. VectorCertain's SecureAgent specifically addresses this deceptive reasoning vector through its DECEPTION-1 rule framework.

VectorCertain plans to launch a Consumer Edition of SecureAgent as a Chrome browser extension within 60 days, priced at $4.99 per month, bringing the same governance capabilities to individual users. The company's Continuous Adversarial Validation framework will refresh scenario testing quarterly to maintain certification validity.
