VYRE Network (OTCID: VYRE), a free global streaming platform focusing on independent filmmakers and content creators, has announced a strategic partnership with filmmaker and showrunner Dr. Greg Carter, founder of Nexus Entertainment. Under the agreement, Dr. Carter will guide VYRE's curated content strategy across Texas and adjacent regional markets, emphasizing feature films, television series, docu-series, and live special events.
Dr. Carter, a Houston native and Texas A&M University graduate, brings over two decades of experience as a creator, director, producer, and showrunner. His portfolio includes more than 30 feature films and multiple network television projects, such as Lucky Girl, My B.F.F., One Crazy Christmas, Hip Hop Family Christmas, and Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding, the latter produced with Jamie Foxx and Foxxhole Entertainment for VH1. He is also a professor of film media at the University of Houston Valenti School of Communication and a U of H President's Scholar.
In addition to his filmmaking, Dr. Carter has served as a line producer on major studio projects including A Boy. A Girl. A Dream. (Sony Pictures/Samuel Goldwyn Films; STARZ) starring Omari Hardwick and Meagan Good, and Safe Space (A&E Networks/Lifetime) directed by Boris Kodjoe. Most recently, he was creator and showrunner of the AMC Networks dramatic series 5th Ward.

Through this partnership, Dr. Carter will collaborate with VYRE's executive programming team to curate, develop, and supervise production of regional content, establish relationships with creators and studios, package select projects for development, and expand VYRE's footprint as a destination for culturally relevant storytelling. He will also lead educational sessions for Texas-based creators on financing, deal structure, pitching, and distribution pathways.
