Western Magnesium Corporation (WMC), a leader in innovative and sustainable magnesium production, has moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility spanning 44,000 square feet. Strategically located 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, this new facility marks a major milestone in the company's expansion and operational capabilities.
The facility will serve as the new home for the company's fully revamped and redeveloped Demonstration Plant. This cutting-edge plant represents a significant upgrade, designed to accelerate prototyping, showcase next-generation processes, and support scaled production and testing of eco-friendly magnesium metal. Assembly of the Demonstration Plant is now underway, with an aggressive target completion timeline of six months—a fast-tracked schedule that underscores the company's commitment to rapid innovation and execution.

The move is significant for the magnesium industry, as Western Magnesium aims to become a low-cost producer of green, primary magnesium metal using proprietary advanced technology that produces 99.8% pure magnesium directly from the reactor prior to refinement, while minimizing environmental impact. This development could enhance supply chain resilience for industries reliant on magnesium, such as automotive and aerospace, by demonstrating a more sustainable production method at scale.
